Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas: A Sneak Peak of Life Onboard

You’d had to be living under a massive rock not to know where Mummy and Boo plus Grandma are this weekend. We’re onboard Royal Caribbean’s brand new Anthem of the Seas for it’s pre-inaugural shakedown cruise and I’m not ashamed to admit that I’ve been spamming Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, you name it with envy inducing snaps of our amazing time.

Anthem of the Seas

We boarded just before noon yesterday and it’s been non stop adventure, discovery, fun and laughter. From skydiving on the iFly the only skydiving simulator at sea to sitting on our balcony enjoying the view with Boo while we chat about all the little things that matter in the big world of a three year old.

Anthem of the Seas

It didn’t take Boo long to discover the Adventure Ocean Club and she loved it, so much so that she clung on until the end, even when she fell asleep! Kids club in the evening gave us the perfect opportunity to explore the ship including the Casino, Spectra the cabaret show at the one and only Two70, and not forgetting dancing the night away at SeaPlex as it transformed into a night club complete with Lauren Pope as guest DJ for the night.

And can I just say I will never tire of seeing the sea, it’s the most relaxed I have been for a long time.

Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas

Alas our time onboard is nearly at an end and come tomorrow we will be sad to be back on dry land. I’ve never been on a cruise but already I love it so much – the staff, the ship, everything all help families create memories which after all is what they’re for – small finite windows of time to have as much fun with those you love the most and even though it’s only the smallest of cruises I’ve stocked my Mummy memory bank up.

Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas

There simply isn’t a word better than wow for our time onboard the Anthem of the Seas, thank you so much Royal Caribbean for giving us a tantalizing taste of what you cruising can offer. One things for sure, you’ve left us hungry for more…

I went on a mini cruise to Norway & Sweden in 1999 when I was 18 and it was great, a tad stormy being winter, nbut it was a good experience too. I would love to go on a cruise like this one though! Fantastic x
