Flying with a toddler was never going to be easy but with Tommee Tippee’s new Steri-bottle disposable bottles went a long way in making it hassle free.

Mummy and Boo are back from our holiday and had a ball! Despite ridiculously long delays at both ends (that’s for another time!) it’s fair to say that Boo is a big fan of flying!

Of all the aspects of holidaying on my own with a 22month old, the flight – and in particular take off and landing were worrying me the most. Boo was at the tail end of an ear infection, which added even more anxiety as to the whole ear popping. I’d taken to Twitter to find out hints and tips form other seasoned parent travellers as how best to combat the effect of the altitude and the general comments were that if she still had a bottle (she has one every night before bed) the giving her one for take off and landing was my best bet in reducing any discomfort for Boo.

I wanted to travel as light and as fuss free as possible so Tommee Tippee’s new Steri-bottle was perfect for us. A single use bottle that was sterilized and ready to use with the added benefit of ant-colic technology and the wide teat that Boo is use to.

The bottle comes with easy to understand instructions and clicks shut giving you a leak proof seal. I found it simple to use even with one hand while holding Boo who was fascinated with the view of our luggage being loaded!

The bottle worked a treat and Boo guzzled her milk and proceeded to enjoy the flight so much so that she keeps asking when we’re going on a plane next – what a little jetsetter!

This a great little product from Tommee Tippee and a must for all those travelling with bottle drinkers, as we all know a happy Boo means a happy Mummy!

Tomorrow is a big deal for Boo, tomorrow is when we head off on our first ever holiday and that means the first time she’ll have been on an aeroplane – although she’s still adamant that a plane is in fact a naughty bird… interesting!

We’re off to the north of Spain for a week to visit friends and enjoy some much-needed sun.

I’ve always enjoyed travelling and have never ben daunted by even long haul journeys but I must admit I have a fair few butterflies at the thought of navigating an airport on my own with a 22month old, luggage and a pushchair.

I’m now in panic mode of list of lists to make sure that none of the vitals are left behind (yes I know there are shops in Spain where everything can be bought!!) Deep down I know as long as we have a muslin for Boo to chew and a lollipop to help with popping of ears then all shall be fine.

It is less than 30 hours until take off so I want to hear if you have any last minute tips for travelling alone with a toddler.

I know that in 48 hours, passport control will be a distant memory and all that will matter is where to head for some delicious tapas in the sun!

For those that follow me on Instagram (@rosiecorriette) it’s pretty obvious that I’m obsessed with coffee when I’m out and about – yet when I’m home I’m an out and out tea addict!

I like a variety of teas and will pick my tea according to my mood and taste. I was sent a selection of Higher Living teas to see what I thought. First on the list was Peppermint – a very delicate flavor that needs to infuse for a few minutes but is still very nice. Secondly and probably my favourite of all three was Earl Gray – a distinct yet mellow taste that infused in now time at all, gorgeous! Last on the list was Chamomile – I’m rather new to this flavor but Higher Living’s version seems to strike the balance between delicate and the right amount of flavor.

Apart from tasting rather good Higher Living teas are organic and in the case of the Peppermint and Chamomile they’re single herb which gives a real pure and fresh taste. All the teas are make in their factory in England and are individually wrapped so are perfect for on the go.

There’s no denying that your body and in particular your skins goes through a lot when pregnant with stretch marks being one of the biggest concerns of new mothers.

I was extremely fortunate in escaping stretch marks apart from a few which are barely noticeable. However the one thing that I have noticed since having Boo is the texture and overall feel of my skin – it just seems to have lost it’s smoothness.

For the past month I’ve been using Bio Oil once a day to see if it could help with the texture of my skin, I was a bit wary of thinking that it would have a noticeable effect, yet I’ve been pleasantly surprised to say that Bio Oil has made a big difference. Not only have I seen a big improvement in how my stomach skin feels and looks but it’s helped minimise the effects of my weight loss as part of #operationyummymummy.

Whilst the Bio Oil may add a bit of time to your routine – I found it rather oily (although no surprise seeing as it is oil!) so had to wash my hands before moisturising the rest of my body; it’s worth it as there aren’t many products out there that can have visible signs of effectiveness in such a short space of time.
