We all know I’m pretty bonkers, so much so that I said I would shift the excess baby weight and run a 10K in aid of Bliss after they were amazing when Boo was born before she was baked to perfection.

I’ve been pondering for a while which race to run; too close and there’s no way I’ll be able to limp round the course but too late in the year and I’ll lose what little focus and will power (stepping away from the cake as I type) I have and will end up smudging my pledge to fundraise for Bliss.

So this morning as I sat staring at the rain I entered the Great British London 10K. Sunday 14th July is your chance to line the streets of London and witness the painful demise of me as I pound the streets desperately trying to raise as much money as possible!

What this does mean is that I know have a solid goal to work towards and motivate me doing all those grueling boot camp sessions, early morning runs, circuit classes – not forgetting the sneakily painful Pilates!

The healthy eating is probably the hardest part for me, what can I say I love cheese and cake and they are no friends of lycra. So if I meet you for lunch please shout at me until I pick a salad and don’t for the love of chaffing let me eat dessert, you’re only saving me form a fate worse than death: SWEAT!!!

Back in February me and Boo were at The Baby Show. Boo was sampling the amazing mobile crèche provided by Fisher Price and I had been invited to Tommee Tippee’s Big Reveal.

The big reveal had all been very hush hush with no clues apart from that it would take 2 minutes. I have to say I was intrigued – Boo has always been bottle fed after she had her NGT taken out so, even now she loves a BoBo as she calls it before she heads off to bed at night.

When we were having to measure to the nearest millimeter Boo’s consumption of her 3 hourly feeds, bottle prep was a big part of our day…and night. With batch prepping no longer advised it felt that I spent all of my time either boiling water, washing bottles, sterilizing bottles, waiting for boiled water to cool, measuring formula, cooling bottles in a hurry and still fretting that I wasn’t getting it 100% right – how the heck am I supposed to accurately tell whether Boo’s 8 milk feeds of the day were perfect body temperature.

Boo’s outfit of the day is perfect for a jam packed day of playing, exploring and maiden voyages on the tube! Fingers crossed I got it right on the step free journey planner otherwise things could get… Interesting!

I can’t pretend that I’m carrying baby weight anymore – the truth is that at this rate we’ll be able to call it child of school age weight so the time has come to get serious in with Operation Yummy Mummy. Back in November I pledged to run a 10K this year to fundraise for Bliss and I want to make sure that I do my best to raise as much as possible.

From past experience I know that I respond best to an equal measure of carrot and stick, however I’ve always struggled to lose more than a pound a week even with exercise and healthy eating. So this time as well as cutting down on treats and portion size not to mention increasing my exercise to a minimum of 5 time a week I’m taking part in the XLS Medical 123 hello me programme.

As some of you may have seen on Twitter and Facebook I took part in a Google+ hangout with Clinique last week to talk about their new eye cream.

Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream launched nationwide in January and claims to visibly reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and overall texture within 12 weeks.

I don’t have any noticeable wrinkles yet but I’m a keen believer in being proactive when it comes to your skin plus as a sleep deprived mother to Boo I could really do with some help in tightening the skin around my eye area.

What I’m most looking forward to about trying out the Repairwear Eye Cream is that unlike other creams on the market, it can be applied to the whole eye area meaning there’s no reason I can’t apply it in bed!

My first impressions of the cream is that like all Clinique skincare products I’ve used this is lightweight and fragrance free with a nice cool feel.

I’ll let you know how I get on with the eye cream and report back in 12 weeks!
