  • Want It Wednesdays | 14th September

We’re well and truly back into the swing of school runs so I’m all about finding wardrobe pieces that are tick the cool mum box that will carry me through the day for adulting – please tell me I’m not the only person who uses that word!! This River Island grey flag print t-shirt is a perfect addition to the mama on the run uniform, I like it’s longer length and distressed look. Talking of school run, it’s time to be thinking about a super warm winter coat. Yes I know we’re enjoying a heatwave but winter is coming (hey John Snow!) and I don’t know about you but you can’t beat a down filled winter coat to keep you snug – Boo’s had one for a couple of years and this one from Simply Be ticks all the boxes: black, belted, quilted.

And for days when I have to adult even more aka do school run, then jump on a train and pretend I haven’t sung Let It Go 14 times already whilst getting ready with Boo, this New Look ruffle trim long sleeve top is just perfect… Now if only they they had my size in stock – guess who keeps checking their site like literally EVERY hour!

Ok so these L.K.Bennett Kaelynn Latte suede knee boots are most definitely far too good for the school run, but I’m in love. Pricey yes, but I sat last night and did that thing where you work out the cost per wear if you were to wear them every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday until 2019 and on that basis they’re a steal. They’re the grown up knee high boot – simple, elegant yet still packs a style punch.

Whether you like it or not, Christmas is coming and to celebrate Too faced have launched their Christmas in New York range. It doesn’t take much to convince me to splurge on their site and I’m pretty sure this Park Avenue Kisses trio will find its way into my basket before the week is out, oops!

As we all know Gucci does strange things to me – like make me debate whether we actually NEED housekeeping money – or if instead we splurged on this Gucci printed leather pouch from the new GucciGhost graffiti collection. Fear not, it seems that my instinct to mother Boo has triumphed over being surrounded by Gucci so my housekeeping budget is safe for another week!

Extravagance aside, when it comes to jewellery I tend to keep it simple day to day, I have a beautiful B necklace and I’ve been playing with the idea of starting to layer necklaces and this Hearts of Pandora necklace; it’s got bling yet is still simple and would sit really well with my B so this is a must.

So there you have my wants for the week, Let me know what you’re loving, hating and wanting yourself.

    Happy Wanting!

  • Beating the Battle of Fuzz with Pulse Light Clinic

Beating the Battle of Fuzz with Pulse Light Clinic

With this week’s glorious and rather unexpected heat wave, it’s had many of us pulling our newly packed away summer wardrobe back into service. I’m the BIGGEST fan of summer but the one downside is shaving; my middle-eastern genes mean that I often have to shave my underarms and full legs twice a day if I want to wear a dress. Laser hair removal is something that has been on my radar for a long time, the thought of not having to reach down and feel for the tell tell leg fuzz is tantalizingly teasing. Boo’s childhood memories will be littered with me sitting on the side of the bath, shaving my legs while she sits on the toilet seat lid swinging her legs asking if she’ll have to do that one day.

cheap-laser-hair-removal-in-LondonLaser hair removal in London is everywhere so it’s really important that you take the time to research the clinic that you’re intending on visiting on and the treatment you’re considering.

The Pulse Light Clinic offer laser hair removal for both men and woman with packages designed to suit both differing needs and budget. I really like how you can spread the cost of packages over twelve months, making the dream of fuzz freeness a more realistic option that won’t break the bank.

So whilst the heat wave we’re enjoying won’t last beyond the weekend, the promise of being able to ditch the razor for good is one joy that will last way longer than any British summer.

  • Big Beauty Savings with Groupon Coupons

Big Beauty Savings with Groupon Coupons

Working from home full time leads people to think that I can pop out whenever I like shopping – unfortunately that couldn’t be further from the truth. Juggling being a single mom, running a house and being the sole breadwinner means that I rarely get guilt free time to go shopping. Instead I rely heavily on online shopping – I love the convenience of being able to order what I want, when I want.

Another big plus for internet shopping is that you can search for the best price; and with Groupon Coupons that saving can go even further. I absolutely love Sephora – it won’t be long until someone needs to ban me from that site, I could literally spend all my money there! – and it’s great knowing that there are coupons for such big brands.

Savings on big beauty brands at Sephora is a great way for trying out new trends and stocking up on beauty brand favourites.

Groupon coupons isn’t about saving a few pennies off a tube of toothpaste, it’s about real significant savings on brands we all know and love. Look at this way: more savings means more money left over for even more shopping… Perfect!

  • Getting Ahead at Christmas with Groupon

Getting Ahead at Christmas with Groupon

Thanks to someone’s eager beaver Facebook post earlier today, I now know that there are only fifteen Fridays between now and Christmas, eek! When it comes to Christmas gifts, I have to admit I’m a complete and utter control freak – I HAVE to start shopping as early as May; I find it’s so much easier to spread the cost and get everything I need by buying early.

    Groupon-Goods

Cost for most people is a big factor when it comes to Christmas shopping – I like to know that I’m getting a good deal. Groupon Goods is a tried and tested destination for some of the top brands at amazingly discounted prices. The must have kitchen gadgets to designer fragrances, there’s something for everyone and they’ve even got your ‘organized mom’ back with bulk battery packs – meaning no disappointed faces come Christmas morning when you can’t remember if the latest gift under the tree needs AA or AAA.

Whether you’re nearly finished (guilty as charged!), just started or can’t bear to think about Christmas shopping until at least the beginning of December – heading to Groupon will not only be a one stop shop for all your Christmas gift needs but will also help to minimize the damage to your bank balance.

  • Avoiding FOBA with Panasonic Smart Home

Avoiding FOBA with Panasonic Smart Home

We’re fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel a lot and that means making sure everything at home is taken care of while we’re away; from asking Mother Dearest to make sure the fridge is stocked for our return to picking up parcels – I spend a lot of time before an upcoming trip planning so that I can relax and we can enjoy our time away. The last thing I ever want is a case of FOBA… Fear of being away!

    Smart-Homes-by-Panansonic

Smart Homes by Panasonic is a wireless monitoring system for the home that can be set up in minutes and allows you to keep an eye on your house while you’re away – yes you read right, while you’re sunning yourself on a beach sipping mojitos you can check in with you phone and see how your herbs on the windowsill in the kitchen are doing or if you’re like me and know they’ll be dead (Because every plant I touch literally dies, forget green – I’ve got black fingers!!) you can check on you home and make sure everything is as you left it.

Even though I’m use to travelling a lot and being away from home for sometimes lengthy periods there’s always that niggling fear that one day I’ll return home to find we’ve been burgled, with the Panasonic Smart Home I could literally be anywhere in the world and have peace of mind that our home is safe.

The easy to install system uses wireless technology and is fully customizable to suit both your house and needs and you can be up and running in next to no time.

Nothing beats getting on a plane and heading out to a new adventure and with Panasonic Smart Home there’s no chance of FOMA making an appearance in my holiday wardrobe.
