Want It Wednesdays | August 24th

After last week’s first Want It Wednesdays, I’m back with a brand new lust list. Yes I know it may be as hot as it’s going to get here in the UK but I can’t help turning my attention to the emerging autumn styles that have been landing in stores over the last couple of weeks.

I popped into Marks and Spencer Marble Arch yesterday with Boo and loved trying on all the coats – my lack of new coat situation got so dire this year that I threw out my old one in the hope that I will be forced to buy one ready for the colder season. I love both the simplicity and versatility of this grey open front loose overcoat; so much so that I’d be temped to add a button to make it more freezing cold friendly. Grey is my go to colour – it’s the new classic black and goes with 90% of my wardrobe. I also couldn’t help but fall in love with these gold round toe sling court shoes: I completely get that they’re a marmite shoe, some will love and some will hate but these are EVERYTHING – I tired them on and had to use all my willpower not to buy them, although I doubt I’ll make it to the end of the month without giving in.

Now we all know it’s my birthday next week (no pressure guys) and that means a fair few selfies as I celebrate with friends and family and I think my Queen of the selfie status requires me to up my gain. Yes I know the Lumee case is the epitome of narcissism, but good lighting trumps all so I think it’s time I joined the well lit selfie gang. Talking of total non necessities, this Ralph and Russo Alina clutch may be nudging £6000 but I can’t help wanting and needing it. Ralph and Russo are the fairytale ending for the thoroughly modern woman – no more waiting for Prince Charming to arrive on horseback with a glass slipper when you can nab your very own Eden pump and bypass the heartbreak. As always this new addition to their collection is flawless, timeless and the epitome of modern luxe; Even I can’t justify this as an investment piece, but it’s nice to dream.

Back to highstreet reality with these great rose embroidered ripped ankle grazing jeans from New Look. Embroidery is set to be bigger than ever this season so it’s no surprise that we’re seeing a surge of roses and patchwork alike and these jeans are set to become the cool mum staple for autumn winter. My final want of this week is the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer – I was lucky enough to try it out at their Oxford Street store yesterday and I was amazed at just how different (different in a mega good way) it dried my hair. Yes it’s £300 which is pretty steep when you can pick a decent hairdryer up for less than £100 but after trying it out for myself, the cost is fast becoming a justifiable investment.

So there you have my Want It Wednesday for this week, let me know what you’re loving and make sure you’re following me on Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat – you can find me at @rosiecorriette.

Happy Wanting!
