Taking Stock of Travel Essentials

With the summer holiday season well and truly over, November is the perfect time to take stock of our holiday wardrobe and travel essentials.

We’re fortunate to travel a lot which means we’re pros when it comes to packing: I pride myself on being able to pack a suitcase for both me and Boo in less than twenty minutes thanks to keeping everything sorted and labeled in our wardrobes.

Another part of travelling is making sure you have all the essentials; passports, travel money etc. I always change up enough local currency to last me a few days, but I’ve been travelling long enough to know that cash often isn’t the smartest idea as it’s a target for pick pockets. I’ve been using prepaid cards on my last few trips as it’s the best way to protect your travel money.

I also love the fact that prepaid cards help you beat the overseas transactions fees that are charged by most banks, winner!

With travel money sorted I also take the time to go through my travel toiletries; there’s nothing worse than reaching into your beauty bag for your go to holiday face cream and realizing you’ve run out or worse that it’s leaked everywhere! Another top tip for sorting through travel essentials is to buy your sun protection cream out of season, as there are often big savings to be had and let’s face it: when you’re Mummy and Boo you know it’ll get used on our next adventure.
