Sick & Tired Of Feeling Fuzzy? These Are The Best (& Most Effective) Hair Removal Methods

Thousands of years ago, when we lived in caves, hunted our own food, and lived off of the land, we needed our body hair to keep us warm. Today, however, us girls no longer need – or want – our body hair. Nowadays, body hair is seen as something that’s embarrassing and irritating, not a vital part of surviving to a ripe old age. We no longer need body hair, but it’s still there, which is why us girls are so interested in hair removal. With that in mind, below is a guide to all the best methods of keeping the fuzz at bay and ensuring that your skin is free from hair for as long as possible.

Shaving

Shaving is, by far, one of the most popular methods of hair removal for us girls. This is because it’s quick, easy, and incredibly effective. Of course, unless you want to turn those fine facial hairs into a thick moustache, you can’t shave your face, but you can shave everywhere else on your body. The downside to shaving, although effective, is that the hairs tend to grow back thicker and darker than they were originally. However, that’s a small price to pay for soft, smooth, hair-free skin.

Waxing

Waxing comes a close second to shaving in popularity when it comes to hair removal because it’s something that can be done at home. Of course, if you want to ensure that you get each and every hair, opting to undergo professional waxing, such as at somewhere like the Belgravia Clinic, for instance. The great thing about waxing is that when you wax your hair, be it on your legs, arms or top lip, the hair is pulled out by the room, meaning that it takes longer to grow back, and is likely to grow back finer, instead of thicker.

Threading

Threading works in a similar way as waxing, as in each hair is pulled out by the root. Again, this means that the hairs take longer to grow back and tend to grow back finer, rather than thicker. While you could learn to thread, it’s much better to book an appointment with a specially trained threader, as that way you can ensure that each and every hair is removed, and none get missed. Although threading is mostly used to remove facial hair, it can be used as a method to remove hair from all over the body.

Hair Removal Mitt

The hair removal mitt is a new way of removing hair and works in a similar way to saving – as in it removes the hair above the skin; it doesn’t pull the hair out by the root. This simple hair removal method is quick and easy, and also is painless. How it works is that a special mitt with a rough surface on it is used to buff areas where there is hair. This cuts off the hairs above the skin and removes them, leaving the skin beautifully hair free. Because these mitts exfoliate the skin at the same time, they leave it feeling incredibly soft and smooth.

So there you have it, a guide to the best and most effective hair removal methods.
