Invitations fit for a Boo

Boo may be hosting the most social baptism of 2012 but we still had fun choosing printed invitations for those guests that would be there in person with us on the day.

I guess she must have inherited my stationary obsession but hey I can think of worse vices!

As with everything Mummy and Boo we had a slight conundrum – what to call Boo on her invitation? Despite many twitter jibes (Who would seriously want to slate a baby? Trust me there are plenty out there!) Boo isn’t actually her real name, although I can’t remember the last time I called out Elizabeth Seraphina!

Yes the Boo has a rather traditional name, so we thought why not go for an invitation that matches her title.

So after lots of searching we found Coco Cards and boy were we spoilt for choice.

I knew from receiving Baptism invitations – babies really are like buses! That I wanted a postcard style and wasn’t sure if we wanted to include a photo. In the end we decided to keep it simple with an elegant design that focused on what was most important, Boo or Elizabeth as she’s known for the Baptism.

I will admit that I was a tad indecisive about the font and wording to the front of the invitation, yet at no point did Helen or the lovely ‘Coco Lady’ as she was referred to round the house during the whole process, ever get annoyed at my constant little tweaks in fact she prepared a number of proofs side by side which made the process really easy.

It was less than a week after approving the proofs that a beautifully wrapped packaged landed on our doormat (it even came a day earlier than advised – result!) and what we discovered exceeded our expectations, the invitations were just as he had wanted them; beautiful, elegant, simple – perfect for #BoosBaptism. We waited no time sealing the accompanying envelopes and posting them, bound for the guests.

Coco Cards have arrived!

Coco cards most definitely lived up to their promise of ‘unique personalized stationary’ so much so that I can’t wait to order the thank you cards to match.
