For those that follow me on Instagram (@rosiecorriette) it’s pretty obvious that I’m obsessed with coffee when I’m out and about – yet when I’m home I’m an out and out tea addict!

I like a variety of teas and will pick my tea according to my mood and taste. I was sent a selection of Higher Living teas to see what I thought. First on the list was Peppermint – a very delicate flavor that needs to infuse for a few minutes but is still very nice. Secondly and probably my favourite of all three was Earl Gray – a distinct yet mellow taste that infused in now time at all, gorgeous! Last on the list was Chamomile – I’m rather new to this flavor but Higher Living’s version seems to strike the balance between delicate and the right amount of flavor.

Apart from tasting rather good Higher Living teas are organic and in the case of the Peppermint and Chamomile they’re single herb which gives a real pure and fresh taste. All the teas are make in their factory in England and are individually wrapped so are perfect for on the go.

Disclosure: We were sent a selection of Higher Living teas free of charge for review. No payment was received and all opinions are 100% honest we promise.

There’s no denying that your body and in particular your skins goes through a lot when pregnant with stretch marks being one of the biggest concerns of new mothers.

I was extremely fortunate in escaping stretch marks apart from a few which are barely noticeable. However the one thing that I have noticed since having Boo is the texture and overall feel of my skin – it just seems to have lost it’s smoothness.

For the past month I’ve been using Bio Oil once a day to see if it could help with the texture of my skin, I was a bit wary of thinking that it would have a noticeable effect, yet I’ve been pleasantly surprised to say that Bio Oil has made a big difference. Not only have I seen a big improvement in how my stomach skin feels and looks but it’s helped minimise the effects of my weight loss as part of #operationyummymummy.

Whilst the Bio Oil may add a bit of time to your routine – I found it rather oily (although no surprise seeing as it is oil!) so had to wash my hands before moisturising the rest of my body; it’s worth it as there aren’t many products out there that can have visible signs of effectiveness in such a short space of time. Bio Oil has definitely earned it’s place in my wash bag.

Disclosure: We were sent a sample Bio Oil free of charge for review. No payment was received and all opinions are 100% honest we promise.

Spring is upon us and I’m not one to miss an opportunity to update my wardrobe. While I’m in the midst of #operationyummymummy I’ve decided to try and resist buying more investment pieces as my body shape is constantly changing. So what’s a girl to do when she’s not buying clothes; the answer is: Accessories!

John Lewis have a some great accessories and here are my pick of the best:

Mulberry Cecily Tote Bag

My top list had to feature a Mulberry seeing as I am one of their addicts, ahem I mean fan and what better bag than to kick off my top 5 than this beautifully simple yet perfect tote from the power house of British handbags and what a perfect colour for spring.

Gucci Rectangular Sunglasses

I’m a big fan of humongous sunnies and these are a great mix of classic style and fun with the Gucci logo on the side – perfect for some fun in the sun.

Kurt Geiger Ella Printed Cutaway Court

Whilst I don’t wear heels often I would keep these beauties glued to my feet this season, what’s not to like they’ve got everything covered from the cute so on trend ankle strap to the flash of metallic patterned leather and the block heel in the ever so seasonably white. A firm favourite.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Dinky Henry Watch

If you can’t add a pop of colour to your outfit in the spring/summer then when can you. I love this eye popping bright watch by Marc Jacobs because it’s fun and the small enough if you’re not feeling too adventurous.

Mulberry Floral Gecko Silk Mix Scarf

I started with Mulberry so it would be rude not to finish my pick of the best with this gorgeous gecko print silk mix scarf. Gecko’s remind me of hot exotic holidays and what better way to battle the inevitable British summer than with an effortless scarf.

Sleeping is a tease for me – when I want to sleep Boo has other ideas yet when she does decide to treat me by sleeping through the night it’s as if my body clock decides to play tricks on me ensuring that I lay wide awake with a million and one to do lists running through my mind!

Last week I decided to try Potter’s Herbals Nodoff; it’s available in both liquid and tablet form – I opted to take the tablets and I have to say they were easy to take (no horse tranquilizer sized tablets!) and even had a somewhat pleasant aroma not dissimilar to vanilla.

For me Nodoff was pretty effective despite a few nights of my sleep being interrupted (although I’m glad they didn’t comatose me as that would have put me off them, incase I didn’t hear Boo in the night)

The dosage call for you to take 2 tablets early evening and another 2 before bed, which worked well. On a few nights I forgot to take the early evening dose yet still found the bedtime tablets effective enough to help me to sleep.

With no side effects suffered I can’t help but think that Potter’s Herbals Nodoff is an insider secret- we all know that nothing should be used long term to aid sleep but for me a short and sweet course of Nodoff is just what I needed to recharge my dwindling battery supply. A must for tired eyes everywhere.

With the sunshine making more and more of an appearance I’ve been able to get out running a lot more in the last week or so – which is great for #operationyummymummy especially as the 10K is only 86 days away!!

I’ve always suffered from muscle ache after a run but with my training programme picking up the pace (sorry I couldn’t resist!) it’s at an all time high. At the weekend I decided to try Deep Freeze Cold Gel to help soothe the muscle pains.

I’ve used it a few times and apart from a weird tingling sensation when applied – not necessarily freezing just peculiar, it’s a great topical treatment for sore tight legs after a run. A real must for me not only on run days but in my gym bag for post work out.

It’s fair to say that #operationyummymummy is seeing me run; a lot. I aim to run a minimum of 3 times per week and hope that by race day in July I’ll be able to complete the 10K in less than 70 minutes – which at the moment for me seems like a tall order.

One area of kit apart from a sports bra that makes a massive difference is trainers. Sportshoes.com very kindly offered to send me a pair of trainers of my choice to help with my training. But first I had to choose a pair; I’m no expert and was being seduced by colours and lace styles but there’s a brilliant video tutorial that helps you chose the perfect pair of trainers by identifying with a super simple test which one of three categories you fall into as a runner.

According to the wet test I’m a mild to moderate overpronator, which means my feet go inwards as I run, accounting for my reoccurring shin splints…OUCH!

Good for my feet and super hot!

There’s whole sections on the website of trainers that match the type of runner you are so I chose the Adidas Lady Adistar Salvation 3. Delivery was super fast and I was in love at first sight. Apart from being the sexiest running trainer I’d set me eyes on they performed when tested. I’ve only worn them for the past fortnight but can already feel a real difference – my run feels less heavy and my contact with the ground is much softer a fluid.

I spy some super funky tyre technology!

I’ll let you know how I get on with the trainers in the long term.

Thank you so much Sportshoes.com for your most generous gift – a brilliant website that not only offers unrivaled discount for top brands and models but great advice and support to help you progress in your chosen sport.

So it looks as if Spring may finally be here (I hope I haven’t jinxed it!) and for many that means a big spring clean and a sort out of all those things that have been lurking in your cupboard over the cold winter months.

I have to admit that when it comes to clothes I’m a bit of a hoarder and tend to kid myself that because it’s all stored neatly, that makes it ok. The truth is there is never really an excuse to hold on to unwanted things whether they clutter up the place or are hiding in cupboards.

What to do with all my unwanted clothes? A car boot sale sounds good but in realtity I know I’ll never get round to it. One option I’ve learnt about is Music Magpie – a website that allows you to find out instantly how much your unwanted iPhones, music, tech and loads more are worth!

They have a handy barcrode tool which lets you use your webcam (or camera phone- with the app) to scan and get a price instantly.

The weather may be warming up and with lots to do an easy to use website like Music Magpie is just the ticket to decluttering!

-Body pump

not forgetting the twice weekly bootcamp sessions! Add to that late night swimming and my running programme I think it’s fair to say my life is pretty busy. Now just because I’m getting fit doesn’t mean I want to let my style slip. A big problem I face is 5 nights a week there has to be a fresh gym kit and bag with not only clean kit but clothes for afterwards. As much as I love loungewear for round the house, I’m still having a hard time accepting that I can wear them out and about!

New Look have a great new range of t-shirts which I am loving right now. There’s a style – or slogan- for everyone! One of my personal favorites is this pretty geometric tiger print boyfriend T-shirt. The loose cut makes it perfect for relaxing after the gym but the print is bang on trend just in case I’m tempted to meet the girls for a cheeky glass of wine after being a sweaty betty!

New Look do a great range of printed T-shirts varying in different sizes, colours and brands.

We all know I’m pretty bonkers, so much so that I said I would shift the excess baby weight and run a 10K in aid of Bliss after they were amazing when Boo was born before she was baked to perfection.

I’ve been pondering for a while which race to run; too close and there’s no way I’ll be able to limp round the course but too late in the year and I’ll lose what little focus and will power (stepping away from the cake as I type) I have and will end up smudging my pledge to fundraise for Bliss.

So this morning as I sat staring at the rain I entered the Great British London 10K. Sunday 14th July is your chance to line the streets of London and witness the painful demise of me as I pound the streets desperately trying to raise as much money as possible!

What this does mean is that I know have a solid goal to work towards and motivate me doing all those grueling boot camp sessions, early morning runs, circuit classes – not forgetting the sneakily painful Pilates!

The healthy eating is probably the hardest part for me, what can I say I love cheese and cake and they are no friends of lycra. So if I meet you for lunch please shout at me until I pick a salad and don’t for the love of chaffing let me eat dessert, you’re only saving me form a fate worse than death: SWEAT!!!

If any of you lovely people would like to help me with #operationyummymummy be it personal training, hints and tips, sportswear or good old fashioned encouragement then say hi on twitter @rosiecorriette or contact me.
